Hello everyone,
My name is Adam Vaas. I have lived in Manistee my entire life, and I enjoy the opportunities that the area provides. I like being outdoors, hunting and fishing. I also enjoy playing disc golf. I spent the first three years of high school in Manistee at the Manistee Middle High School building. I spent my final year of high school at West Shore Community College as an ASM Tech early college student. I am currently in my second year at West Shore Community College to earn my Associate of Arts in Digital Literacy. Once I have obtained my associate’s degree, I am transferring to the School of Information at the University of Michigan to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Science information.
I first became interested in the Ukraine conflict when Russia started to amass troops along the Ukraine border. For a semester-long project, I’ve followed the Ukraine conflict. I’ve watched it develop from a mere conflict to full-scale war. Specifically, I have researched various ways in which the Ukraine invasion will impact Americans. For this website, I researched multiple ways in which the Russian invasion of Ukraine will affect Americans. I also served as a user experience designer working collaboratively with another student and the course professor.
